Terms and Conditions.

Booking procedure.

In order to ISSUE Booking Confirmation and contract, it is necessary for us to know: client’s name, address, email and phone number, eventual discounts from commission. In order to confirm the reservation, we need to receive:

  • Written confirmation by email or by MMK booking manager.
  • Valid skipper’s license with a limitations (or without) which allows to operate rented boat and sailing CV (list of competed charters with reference to fleet operators)

In order to validate charter departure, before 30 days before charter date we need:

  • List of extras requested, arrival details time and flight number.
  • Proof of full payment.
  • Crew-list (we send URL link to our automated crew-list system) Payments.
  • 50% within 5 days after booking confirmation.
  • 50% within 35 days before departure.



Security deposit.

Security deposit must be done on the day of check-in with pre-authorisation using the client’s card, (only VISA or MasterCard) or by SWIFT transfer 5 days before departure date. Standard security deposit for the one-week charters - to be paid before departure, even if clients have already purchased a personal insurance in third-party companies before departure. Sailme Charter only holds the amount on the card as preauthorization. Security deposit for 2 or more weeks charters - to be paid by bank transfer or credit card payment. This deposit will be sent back to the client the next 5 (five) working days after check out.

All boats are insured with Third Party and CASCO policy with deductibles. If the deposit will not cover all damages made to the boat, Sailme Charter can claim to the client outstanding amount. If the damages do not exceed the amount of the deposit left by the client, the difference will be returned. If there are no damages, the whole amount will be returned to the client.

Insurance will not cover the cost of repairs and materials is determined by Appendix No. 1 of the charter contract. The cost of works and materials not specified in Appendix No. 1 of the charter contract is determined by partner companies possessing the necessary qualifications and licenses to carry out repair work within 5 (five) working days from the date of check-out.

The insurance could not be applied to

  • FAILURE TO FILL WITH FUEL ON THE RETURN OF THE BOAT
  • CONDUCT IN THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL AND DRUGS
  • FAILURE OF SAFETY RULES AND TERMS OF BAREBOAT CONTRACT (e.g. leaving the harbor with wind force exceeding 6 Beaufort)
  • ANY POSSIBLE FINES/PENALTIES RAISED DURING THE CHARTER PERIOD EVEN IN CASE OF BELATED NOTIFICATIONS

If during the charter the client caused damage to the yacht in the amount of more than 50% of the deposit made, the Charter Company has the right to request the client for additional payment to reach the original amount of security deposit, or stop the charter.



Check-in and check-out procedures.

Check-in. Saturday or Monday (for charters Monday-to-Monday) from 17:00-21:00.

Early Check-in between 1pm and 02:30 pm is available upon request for an extra cost by the current price.

Any client should have a following documents on check in:

  • Valid sailing license
  • Passport or ID valid in EU.

Check-out. Clients should return to the base one day before end of the charter period: Friday for Saturday-to-Saturday, or Sunday for Monday-to-Monday charters before 18:00 with a full fuel tanks. Check-out will be hold on Saturday or Monday* from 09:00. First and Last night in our bases are included in the price, Except Lagoon 52F, Lagoon 40, 42, Excess 11 in July and August.



Extras.

Extras, Skipper’s and Hostess’ fee can be paid only by cash on check-in.



Vouchers.

All vouchers issued by Sailme Charter can be used till the date of expiry. Any voucher can be prolonged by written request from client’s email before the expiration date or during 6 (six) months after expiration date. Any claims after a 6 months period will not be accepted.

Pets onboard.

SailMe Charter is a pet-friendly company. It is possible to bring one pet per charter with an extra fee for additional cleaning. However, we can’t always accept all breeds or sizes of animals onboard. For this reason, it is necessary to get our written confirmation prior to the booking confirmation. Extra antiallergic cleaning after pets - 150€.



Cancellation.

  • Over 100 or more days before departure, 20% from the total price of the charter will be charged as the penalty for cancellation.
  • Between 100 and 30 days - 50% of the total price of the charter will be charged as the penalty for cancellation.
  • Less than 30 days before departure, 100% of the total price of the charter will be charged as the penalty for cancellation.
  • Sailme Charter has the right to cancel the booking in the term more than 100 days before check-in with a full refund of the amount received.


COVID policy 2023

Sailme Charter can issue a voucher for the entire amount paid by client only in the following cases:

  • Lockdown in Spain or traveler’s country on the date of the cruise.
  • Quarantine of at least 15 days is imposed in the client's country, back from their vacations.
  • Formal Travel Ban in the area where the boat charter starts or client's place of residence, on the dates of the cruise.
Voucher validity: 12 months from the date of the original departure.



Restrictions.

The Charter company doesn’t work with the citizens of the Russian Federation and Charter agencies from Russia. Exceptions can be used individually by request.
