This year marks a remarkable milestone for Sailme — our 10 year anniversary. On May 17th, we celebrate a full decade since our very first voyage, when friends and early clients set sail aboard Blitz, a Gib’Sea 442 sailing yacht. That day was more than just the beginning of a business — it was the start of a journey fueled by passion, purpose, and the desire to create unforgettable yachting experiences.

From the very beginning, our mission has been simple but powerful: to make your vacation exceptional. How It All Started

Sailme began in 2015, with its first commercial voyage aboard Blitz, a Gib’Sea 442 yacht. Later that year, we bought our first own boat — a Beneteau Oceanis 43, named Dream Team.

By 2017, we opened a permanent base in Ibiza, operating two yachts: Oceanis 43 and Hanse 400. The following year, we launched a winter base in Tenerife, expanding year-round operations.

In 2019, we invested in two brand-new Oceanis 46.1 yachts, marking our move into modern fleet financing. Despite the pandemic in 2020, we opened a new base with five yachts in Palma de Mallorca, as yachting proved to be one of the safest travel options.

By 2021, our fleet reached 10 yachts, and we introduced an innovative charter management program for owners. In 2022, we expanded to Lefkas, Greece, and added seven new catamarans, reinforcing our leadership in the region.

In 2023–2024, we continued to grow while staying focused on service quality. With new catamarans under construction, we remain ambitious in our goal to become Spain’s leading charter company.

Today, Sailme manages 21 yachts across several key Mediterranean locations. That is the journey we’ve sailed over the past 10 years.

Over the past decade, Sailme has grown into a trusted name in the Mediterranean yacht charter industry. Today, we proudly manage a fleet of 21 yachts — 10 sailing yachts and 11 catamarans — operating across some of the region’s most iconic destinations.

We now run two summer bases on the Balearic Islands — Mallorca and Ibiza, and maintain a winter base in Tenerife, allowing our fleet to remain in high demand year-round.

When we launched Sailme, our focus was on organizing sailing cruises with carefully designed routes. While we’ve since evolved into a full-service yacht charter company, we’ve remained loyal to our roots. Cruise experiences are still a key part of our offerings — not because they’re the most profitable, but because they’re meaningful. They allow us to introduce new people to yachting, foster friendships, and share our passion for life at sea. Expanding this part of our business remains one of our long-term goals.

Our commitment to quality and innovation has led to major operational improvements. We implemented the MMK Booking system, which gave us visibility across a global network of charter platforms. Our professionalism and client dedication earned us Gold Partner status with MMK — a distinction awarded to a limited number of their partners.

To enhance the client experience, we introduced digital check-in and check-out procedures. This streamlined a traditionally complicated process, making the start and end of each charter more efficient and enjoyable for our guests.

Perhaps this list could go on — full of small improvements and thoughtful touches — but it's precisely this attention to detail that has earned Sailme its strong reputation in the industry.

Another important milestone has been building a network of direct partners, who work with us under exclusive contracts. These partners benefit from preferred pricing and secure a minimum number of charters each year. We’re currently exploring several new sailing regions, including the Azores, Cape Verde, and the Caribbean Islands. One destination that has already captured our hearts is Martinique, which stands out as a special place for our team. Our guiding principle in selecting new locations is clear: we only move forward if we can deliver the same high standards our clients have come to expect — through the dedication, care, and professionalism of our team.

We believe that if we can find like-minded partners who share our passion for sailing and creating joyful experiences for people, we will succeed in assembling the complex puzzle that each new base requires. Until then, we continue exploring and scouting regions where these conditions align.

Another key goal for us is to expand our sailing cruise offerings for shared crews in the Balearic and Canary Islands. Cruises are where our journey began, and we remain committed to developing this segment.
