With so many delicious options to choose from, it can be hard to decide where to eat in Ibiza. That is why we have curated some of our favourite restaurants so that you can find the perfect establishment for any meal.

There are plenty of places to eat in Ibiza, whether you want to desire the local cuisine or stick to more familiar dishes. From the relaxed atmosphere of Santa Eulalia or San Juan to the bustling beaches, a world of gastronomic delights awaits exploration. In Ibiza Town, you’ll find plenty of Tapas bars and restaurants serving up traditional Spanish delicacies. For a unique experience, head to the beachfront where you’ll find a variety of international restaurants.  If you're in need of a quick snack, numerous cafes are at your disposal. And, of course, no visit to Ibiza would be truly complete without treating yourself to a selection of cocktails at the numerous bars and clubs!

Some of the must-try dishes in Ibiza include bullit de peix, fideua (a type of paella made with noodles), sofrito (a traditional sauce made with tomatoes, garlic and onions) and salt-baked fish. For dessert, try the delicious ensaimada (a spiral-shaped pastry dusted with sugar) and must-try dessert Ibicenco flaó!

Whether you want a fine-dining experience or a relaxing meal on the beach, the restaurants in Ibiza will make your trip memorable. While the full list of “don’t miss” restaurants is quite lengthy, these are a few favourite  eateries to recommend by us and our clients:

Bar Peixet, Ibiza Town

Just 50 meters from the pontoon B in the port of Ibiza, where the Sailme Charter base is located, there is a charming cafe with delicious homemade Spanish food. Treat yourself to delicious coffee with crispy croissants and enjoy the taste of home cooking. Enjoy impeccable service and great accessibility in the heart of Ibiza, overlooking the picturesque harbour.

Mamajuana, Es Canar

Mamajuana Ibiza is a beach bar in front of the Es Canar beach that opens completely to blend in with the surrounding landscape. The bar offers a homely atmosphere complemented by delicious and traditional cuisine with a Mediterranean character without losing sight of the authentic Ibizan cuisine. And so a perfect plan is created to taste delicious food, enjoy good music and understand what the true essence of Ibiza is.

Among its extensive menu and specialties are rice dishes, which always taste better with the sea ahead. A great recommendation if you go through it this summer is the honeyed duck and mushroom rice, or rice in front of the sea.

Es Torrent, Porroig

A peaceful little beach club and restaurant in the small bay of Porroig. Es Torrent started as a humble beach bar in the eighties has transformed into one of Ibiza’s best restaurants with a spectacular terrace. They also offer a boat pick-up for guests who are anchored nearby. So the Es Torrent's menu will not disappoint the lovers of seafood. There is no doubt that this is one of the best places to enjoy paella in Ibiza. Among starters, the Espardenyes, the sautéed calamari, clams ‘a la marinera’ and grilled mussels. Next, try the Bullit de peix, the best Fideua in Ibiza, local prawn Caldereta or any of the baked fish. At Es Torrent, life becomes pure pleasure.

Restaurant El Carmen, Cala d'Hort

Located in one of the most magical places on the island with an excellent view on Es Vedra and magnificent sunsets in Cala d’Hort, this restaurant establishes itself as one of the most traditional restaurants on the island of Ibiza. Keeping in line with the natural, majestic landscape it sits on, El Carmen’s service doesn’t try to boast the worlds of luxury. Instead, it lets old-fashioned, attentive, service be the vehicle for dishes that do all of the talking. They offer a menu full of seafood and traditional gastronomic wonders of the island. Paella, soupy rice dishes, bullit de peix, fresh fish and shellfish... Possibly they prepare one of the best fish and shellfish paellas on the island of Ibiza.

El Carmen is popular for sunset dinners, so advance booking is advised.

Chiringuito El Bigotes - Bullit, Cala Mastella

El Bigotes, without a doubt, is an emblematic restaurant in Ibiza. In 'El Bigotes' they have been making the same recipe for bullit de peix for more than 50 years. Located in a unique setting, in Cala Mastella, this restaurant has a waiting list of almost two months in high season. There is no other dish on the menu and you should sit at the table at 2:00 p.m.  Bullit de peix is served in two courses, first the fish with potatoes and then soupy rice made with the broth from the fish stew. We also recommend you to try the flaó - the traditional Ibicenco cheesecake with cafe caleta for dessert.

Remember that it is essential to book in advance and that they do not accept card payments.

Restaurant Balneari Cala Carbó

Get ready to take your mouth to the fresh fish that you have tasted ever in Balneario Cala Carbo, located in the small cove of Cala Carbo in  Sant Josep.

Its quiet atmosphere, the good quality-cost relationship, the possibility of having a meal barefoot on the sand, and the daily captured fish they serve – lobsters, groupers, red mullets, sole, etc- all makes this restaurant an unavoidable temptation.

The baked fish is another of their specialties, as well as the blind rice, barbecues or bullit de peix. As an entree do not miss asking for the cuttlefish, clams, prawns, fried fish. You can accompany these Mediterranean delicacies for wines from different sources since in the menu they have a great variety. To put the finishing touch to an unparalleled gastronomic day, ask for one of his homemade desserts. Every day they have some new suggestions that will surprise you.

Sunset Ashram, Cala Comte

If you are looking for a truly memorable dining experience, then one of the best sunset restaurants in Ibiza is the perfect choice. Located on the coast of Cala Conta, Sunset Ashram offers breath-taking views of the turquoise sea and all the wonders nature has to offer. The Ibizan sunset is a spectacle at the best of times, but at Sunset Ashram it is far more than just a visually pleasing scene. At this Bohemian beach bar, the sunset is a spiritual display of nature's wonder, worthy of admiration and celebration. Usher in the night from beneath the pergola. It is a delight to the senses, where tasty drinks and the famously blazing sky are accompanied by gently bopping music in the background.

The cuisine has a fusion of Mediterranean, Indian and Japanese food. They use local products for the preparation of regional specialties or you also have the option of sushi dishes prepared by a Japanese chef, or try their incredible Indian recipes. And of course, the best accessory to a sunset is an ice-cold cocktail, and the Sunset Ashram will not disappoint you…whatever your desires, they will satisfy you.
